THE ART OF ANCIENT BEADS & JEWELRY
Beads have history dating back to 30,000 B.C. and are
precious ornaments which cultures have adorned not only
for their rarity and beauty but also for symbols of spirituality,
use as trade money, and represents high societal status.
Since 1987, Twiga has delved passionately into the culture
of valuable beads, and her international collection displays her
fine taste and expertise. Antique, valuable, and/or rare objects
such as amazonite, chevron beads, amber, ivory, bakelite,
marble, Venetian/Morano glass beads, mosaic beads, ebony,
and carnelian are used in her creations making each piece of
handmade jewelry organic and as individual as a human spirit.
Twiga explains, "Each bead has it's own beauty and meaning,
and designing jewelry for me is like giving birth to a child. It's
organic, raw, natural, and harmonious - my jewelry, like a soul,
has life and meaning.
